Small Vintage German Beer Stein with Pewter Lid | Hand-Painted Tavern Scene

Charming small vintage German beer stein with pewter lid and colourful raised tavern scene. The squat, rounded stoneware body is decorated with villagers in traditional dress, rope-twist borders and bands of cream and orange, matching the larger stein in style but in a cute smaller size – ideal for display or as part of a stein collection. • Origin: Germany (unmarked, typical West German souvenir ware) • Date: mid–late 20th century • Material: moulded stoneware with hand-painted glazes, pewter lid • Design: raised tavern / dancing couple scene, rope-twist borders, cream and orange bands Lovely on a shelf, bar cart or in a rustic kitchen. It also pairs nicely with a larger stein if you want a mixed-height display. In fair–good vintage condition. Colours are bright and the relief is clear. There is a small chip/glaze loss on the foot rim (shown in close-up photos) and some light surface wear and rubbing to the glaze and pewter lid from age and use. No structural cracks; still solid and displays nicely, but priced lower due to the chip. Please look carefully at all the photos as they are a part of the description.
