Charming vintage ceramic dog figurine decorated in an Imari-style palette. The seated white dog has a sweet, slightly serious expression, a raised tail picked out in gold and a glossy red collar with a bow at the front. Its body is covered with stylised flowers and scrolls in rust red, deep blue and gilt, so it looks decorative from every angle. There is a fine hairline line to the glaze running down one side from the collar (shown in the close-up photos). It feels smooth but is visible in certain light. Light wear to the gilt on the tail and small areas of the decoration from handling and display. No other cracks or obvious chips; glaze still glossy and colours bright.
