Elegant Japanese Art of Chokin vases in glossy black ceramic with pierced twin handles and gilt rims. Each vase features an inset Chokin metal medallion (acid-etched and gilded with 24k gold & silver) — a technique inspired by samurai sword fittings. Sold individually — choose your favourite from the drop-down. Dust gently; avoid abrasive polishes on the medallions and gilt. Options: • Large – Iris & Bird: Chokin medallion with irises and a hummingbird. • Small – Peacocks: Chokin medallion with peacocks and peonies. Back printed “THE ART OF CHOKIN … Made in Japan.” Period: late 1970s–1990s. In very good vintage condition: bright glaze, light shelf rubs and tiny gilt wear to rims only; medallions clean and shiny.
